5th grade camp at Warm Beach is about a week away. What are you looking forward to? What questions or concerns do you have? Please answer with thoughtful, complete sentences.
Camp Warm Beach is a really awesome way to add to a student’s learning at the end of elementary school. I am most looking forward to sleeping in a cabin since I have never actually gone camping before. I am really excited about this new experience. Also, after seeing the map of Camp Warm Beach, I am eager to explore the woods and play on the playfields, the mini golf course, the tennis courts, and the climbing wall. I am sure that camp will be a cool adventure. I don’t have many concerns about camp. However, if I had to choose, my only concern about Camp Warm Beach would be the amount of bugs that are going to be there. This is because my immune system overreacts to any sort of bug bite, especially mosquito bites. I am sure that I will wear bug repellent everyday in order to stay protected. :) #16

I have never gone to a sleep away camp before, so I am looking forward to it. I have also heard that the food is amazing. I know that is not the main part of camp, but I like good food. I think it will also be a great way to spend time with my friends. Since I will know the girls in my bunk, it will fun to hang out together. I also like to stay active and play sports, so I am eager to get to the pool, climbing wall, play fieds, woods, and the golf course. I have never done mini golf, but it should be fun. I only have a few questions about camp. These are my questions: 1. How many bugs will there be? (I hate bugs) 2. Can we swim in the sound ? 3. How much time are we going to stay with everyone and how much time do we have on our own as a bunk? I AM SO EXCITED!! CAMP WARM BEACH, HERE I COME!!
I am soooooo excited for camp!! I thought it would take forever to get to this point but it actually went fast! I am so excited for the rock wall and the pool. I am also excited for mini golf. I remember when my sister went to fifth grade camp and I have been waiting since then (and that was two years ago! What a wait!) I am also excited my mom is going. I think the food will be good and I am glad because sometimes camps have low quality food. I think this will be a good way to get to know other people and to spend time with my friends. Most of my questions were answered today but I have a couple. My first question is, will we be able to swim in the Puget Sound. I think it might be too cold, but maybe. Also I was wondering if we should bring mini shampoos or conditioners for the showers. I am so excited for camp and I can't wait. So, since we can't bring hair dryers; do we have to air dry our hair? How long is the pool? I don't have a lot of questions but all I know is that I WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME AT CAMP WARM BEACH!!!!!!
I have been looking forward to camp since the beginning of fifth grade! All of my friends that have passed fifth grade have said camp was super fun, and that they got a lot of freedom. Hearing this made me get pumped up! Also, my dad is coming to chaperone, which will be a great expierience for me! From what I heard camp kind of lets you be an adult, they won't treat you like a baby. Because being a fifth grader is a step to being a grownup. I am most excited to go to the pool and the climbing wall. I have seen pictures of them, and they look so fun. I can't believe that camp is already here, I can't wait for wednesday.

I am really, really excited for Camp Warm Beach. I can’t believe it is coming up so soon! My friend told me you have a BLAST there. I am really looking forward to, well just about everything! He told me you will love the food more than anything else. Also he said everything is so entertaining, but I have to say that I think the near the end of the day will be the best. I enjoy hanging out with campfires, and sleeping in the cabins will most likely be like a slumber party. The one difference is you will actually get sleep. I am a little concerned about getting lost because I never have really been good at knowing where I am going for the first time. It is helpful that we made the maps, but with or without a map, I have no clue where to go. A question of mine is since you can’t bring spray on bug spray; can you bring spray on sunscreen? Now other than that, I am positive that this will be a F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S trip! #14
I think camp is going to be so FUN!!! When my brother and sister went to camp, they said the food was delicious. So that's something I'm excited for. Another thing I am excited for is that all of the fun activities that there are: swimming, rock climbing, scavenger hunts and more. But the only thing I'm worried about canoeing. When I go there I think my knees are going to hurt a lot. I already have bad knees so when I get in the boat, I think that they will start to hurt. But other than that, the trip is going to be so FUN!!!

I simply love camping. Especially making smores because I have a great technique to roast a marhmellow. Also they have swimming pools, and many activities to do. Also they let you have freedom. I have three concerns though. One is the is the food there. Luckily though my mom packed apples, and peanut butter. Also what if we get lost because that camp looks pretty huge. I am super EXICTED to go to camp, all this week I've been thinking about Camp Warm Beach. I am looking forward learning information about the wetlands there. I’m not the greatest swimmer in the world, so I’ll have plenty of practice at the pool area at Camp Warm Beach, but I’m a little nervous to take the swimming test. I wonder how long we’ll have to swim to pass. How long is the pool all together?
I’m also excited for the tennis court. I’m not much of a tennis player, but I’ll try my best. Will they provide us with tennis rackets?
My brother had gotten a high score on the climbing tower last year. He said he had a blast, so I want to try it. I have a minor phobia to heights… I’m not sure how far I’ll go…
I hope the food is tasty. Collin had said the food was delicious, but you couldn’t go up to help yourself. The waiters would come by and serve you. I don’t have man concerns about Camp, AND I CAN’T WAIT!

I love the idea of going to camp at the end of the year. It's like celebrating that you finished elementary school. I'm really looking forward to camp. I am so anxious and excited to see who is in my cabin. I also want to know about all the fun activities we're going to do. My concerns are that since there are a lot of rules, I really hope I'm going to remember and follow them so I don't get a "GO" because I love doing activities outdoors and I would be devastated if I had to go home. My questions about camp are that even if you had to go to the bathroom and everyone is asleep, would you go by yourself to the bathroom or would you wake up your chaperone? I am very excited for the upcoming camping trip. There are many things that I am excited about and some things that I am worried about. Some of the things that I am excited for are that we get to sleep in cabins with our friends. Whenever I go camping, I usually sleep in a tent but I have never slept in a cabin. I am also excited about the things that we will be doing during the camp. For example, rock climbing, archery, and boating. I am really excited about archery. I have never done it before but I have seen it many times on T.V. or movies. It looks really cool and fun especially when the person pulls the string of the bow with the arrow and tries to hit the target. I am also excited for rock climbing because I have done it once with a friend and it was really fun. It is also fun trying to race people to the top by climbing. I am also excited to learn about wildlife and how to survive in the wilderness.
Some of the things I worry about are big animals like bears or cougars and also getting body injury or allergic reaction to some plants. Bears and cougars can be very aggressive when they are hungry for foods. And they have been spotted during day time and night time. Since we will be outside most of the day, I worry that they might come out to get our foods or harm us. I am also worried about getting hurt like spraining my ankles or arms and getting allergic reaction to plants like poison ivy, because if I get hurt, I would have to sit out during any sport activity or get send home.
As you can see, I am very excited for camp because of the many cool and new things that we are going to do and learn but I am also kind of worried about very little things. Another thing that I am looking forward to is seeing all of the wildlife and scenery. I enjoy looking at the trees and animals that live around the area that are not harmful.
